Spotlight on Local is an independent local media project. We produce city guides, place recommendations, and podcast episodes across Bristol, Cambridge, Cheltenham — and more cities as we grow.
But a city isn't just its restaurants and hidden gems. It's the people running businesses in it — the estate agents who've spent 20 years on the same streets, the mortgage brokers who've helped hundreds of first-time buyers, the founders who built something local and kept it that way.
We think those stories are worth telling.
Who runs this
Spotlight on Local was founded by Byron Coke. Byron is London-based and has spent years working across technology and business before building this project. The idea was simple: local media that actually covers local people — not just local places.
